I Am Officially On Holiday!
After an incredibly busy, rewarding, and productive three years I am finally taking some very exciting vacation time for myself and my kiddos during this holiday season! Since I launched this blog in January of 2016 I have had just over 1 million visits, over 300 comments, made invaluable connections, and had hundreds of robust and vivid dialogs with a great variety people who I respect and value as part of my professional network. It has been two years of very gratifying networking and professional growth for me in so many ways.
During this time I have also had several consulting gigs|jobs that I am beyond grateful for – often working 2-3, simultaneously, because I truly enjoy what I am doing and and I enjoy support companies that are focused on their growth and sustainability. Working so much and writing so much I haven’t taken too much time for fun in the past several years and wanted to give my boys a holiday season to remember! I also want to focus on helping myself the best person that I can be for 2018 and the organization(s) I have the opportunity to work with in the new year.
Since mid-July I have been working on one part-time project which has afforded me personal time to develop habits and a new-found passion around fitness and health [I’m obsessed – in a good way]. It has allowed me time to volunteer at my children’s school [which I thoroughly love doing]. I have also had the unique honor of using my enthusiasm and excitement around entertaining, cooking, and baking to support two B&B’s with my culinary & cocktail creations and extraordinary party | event planning for their guests, which has been a lovely experience.
So, what that means for the Excellence In Retail Blog is that though I will be writing, I will likely only publish two to three posts between now and the new year and then pick up fresh and with a renewed sense of energy in 2018. My primary goal this holiday season is to be 100% present and engaged in the moment for each day and each event. We will be heading to Austin, Texas for the week of Thanksgiving. Enjoying the pre-holidays in New York City & Chicago before heading out of the country to my two most favorite cities in the world for Hanukkah | Christmas & New Years celebrations.
I want to thank everyone who has supported this blog – I am inspired by all of you and I appreciate you more than I can possibly articulate. You have made 2016 & 2017 challenging, interesting, and fruitful. I hope to continue to bring strong and useful content to you again starting in January.
I am also actively seeking a new [and hopefully, permanent] role with a smart, innovative, and responsible organization and will be available by phone | Facetime – 646 246 1380 – or Skype – ElizaParkCoop – should your company need an energetic, driven and enthusiastic addition who can galvanize employee engagement and productivity! Please visit my resume website for more detail!
Happy Holidays! I wish everyone a safe and grand season of celebration and time with family and friends!
